Dr Chien-Ying Kao consults at Caufield South. He visits residential care facilities in Melbourne’s East. He works at Eastern Health as a Consultant Geriatrician. He believes in clear communication, fostering understanding among patients, their families and their general practitioners. He is known to be empathetic and a strong advocate for the health and welfare of his patients, promoting patient-centred care with collaborative decision-making.

• Chien is experienced in all facets of geriatric medicine, with a particular interest in assessing complex medical issues, cognitive assessment, managing delirium, dementia, and polypharmacy.

• Chien is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine.
